Lebanon’s Rule of Law Index’s score (a scale of 0 to 1, 1 indicating the strongest adherence to the rule of law) is 0.47 (rank: 89). Japan’s is 0.78 (15th). For your information, France’s is 0.73 (17th), and Brazil’s is 0.53 (58th).
If Mr. Ghosn wanted to have a fair trial based on the rule of law principle, he should have chosen France, not Lebanon.
